May 1, 2007 - City of Schenectady “Completed Audit Shows City’s Second Consecutive Surplus”
On Monday, April 16, 2007, the Mayor’s Office announced the results of the 2006 fiscal year audit, citing the City’s partnership with ATF as a contributing factor in its improved financial condition. “Since 2004, Schenectady has sold more than $19 million in property tax liens to American Tax Funding to provide millions in additional revenue and significantly improving the city’s tax collection rate”.
